When math starts taking over the homeschool day

You can oversee the course without teaching every lesson

The preparation

You have to learn the lesson before you can teach it

A curriculum may give you the sequence and answer key while still leaving the explanation to you. That turns one subject into lesson preparation, teaching and grading every day.

The placement question

It is hard to know whether the problem is today’s topic or an older gap

Math builds on earlier skills. Trouble with algebra may begin with fractions or negative numbers, and a grade label alone does not tell you where the repair should start.

The cost of outside help

Weekly tutoring adds up without replacing the course

A tutor can help with difficult topics, but you may still need to choose the curriculum, assign work, grade tests and prepare records. Many families need the whole subject handled, not another layer added to it.

You remain responsible for your child’s education.
Fieldstone handles the day-to-day teaching, practice, testing and records for math.
How a Fieldstone course works

One course includes the teaching and the administration

Each course covers the curriculum, lessons, practice, exams, grades and records for the year. You receive a short weekly update and can step in when needed without running every lesson yourself.

1 · Placed correctly

The diagnostic finds the true starting point

Before day one, a placement diagnostic maps what your child actually knows — and the course quietly inserts repair lessons wherever old gaps would have caused trouble later.

2 · Taught patiently

Explanations your child can repeat

Structured lessons include worked examples and guided practice. A digital teaching assistant can re-explain a concept in a different way when the first explanation does not land.

3 · Practiced properly

Feedback on every single problem

Practice is checked step by step, with hints when needed and additional problems when a skill is not secure yet.

4 · Tested honestly

Real exams, graded for you

Assessments are separate from guided practice, use no hints and are graded automatically to produce a course grade.

5 · Documented completely

Records you can hand anyone

Quarterly reports, completion certificates, portfolio-ready documentation and transcript-formatted entries for high-school credit — generated for you, not by you.

6 · You, briefed

Five minutes on Sunday

A weekly Parent Briefing shows what was covered, what is secure, what comes next and whether anything needs your attention. Email support is included in every course.

Start with placement, not a course catalogue

Find the first course your child is ready for

The free diagnostic uses 12 real math questions to identify the strongest current level and the earlier skills that may need repair. You will receive a course recommendation before you apply or pay for anything.

What the course takes off your weekly list

The work Fieldstone handles

  • ✗  Re-learn the material the night before
  • ✗  Hunt for lessons that “might explain it better”
  • ✗  Build or patch a curriculum
  • ✗  Explain the same concept a fifth time at 4pm
  • ✗  Check forty answers with a key after dinner
  • ✗  Invent tests and wonder if they’re fair
  • ✗  Calculate grades or build transcript entries
  • ✗  Lie awake wondering if it’s “counting”

You still see the progress and make the decisions. You no longer have to prepare and administer every math lesson.

The refund and completion policies

Try the course in your own home

The Independent Learner Guarantee

Use the course at home for up to 30 days. If it is not a workable fit, request a full refund within that period.

This gives you time to evaluate the routine with your actual child, schedule and level of parent involvement.

The Pass-the-Final Guarantee

If your child completes all required lessons and does not pass the verified final exam, the next course is included at no additional charge.

See the course terms for the completion requirements and full policy.

Who wrote all this

Real teachers built every course

Career classroom teachers wrote the curriculum, the explanation libraries and every verified exam, then tested them against decades of watching where students actually get stuck.

The questions that matter

Is this a complete course or a supplemental program?

It is a complete, sequenced course with lessons, practice, mastery checks, hint-free exams and a final course grade. It is designed to replace a separate math curriculum for that subject.

Who is actually teaching my child?

The curriculum, the explanations and the exams are authored by our faculty — career classroom teachers. Day to day, your child works through their structured lessons accompanied by a digital teaching assistant that re-explains, checks steps and adjusts practice instantly, built on and bounded by our teachers’ material. When something needs a human, email support from a real person is part of every course.

Will my child really do this without me sitting there?

That’s the design goal of every page: short structured lessons, immediate feedback, and help that never requires waiting for you. The honest test is the free sample lesson — and the 30-day guarantee exists precisely so you can watch it happen in your own home before the decision is final.

Does this count — records, transcripts, state requirements?

Every course produces quarterly reports, a completion certificate, and portfolio-ready documentation; high-school-level courses produce transcript-formatted entries with a final grade. Homeschool regulations vary by state, so we format records to slot into the reporting approaches homeschool families actually use — and we’ll answer questions about your situation by email before you enroll.

What if my child has gaps from our old curriculum?

Expected — most enrolling students do. The placement diagnostic finds them, and the course inserts repair lessons automatically where they’d otherwise cause trouble. Gaps are a reason this works, not a reason it won’t.

What about screens all day?

Lessons are focused work sessions, not entertainment — most students spend 30–45 concentrated minutes a day, less than the time a curriculum-plus-mom lesson usually takes, with none of it being yours.

Can I ask questions before applying?

Please do — write to us about your child’s situation and a real person will answer within two business days. If we don’t think we’re the right fit yet, we’ll say exactly that.
